The position of Maintenance Lead Technician is responsible for organizing and leading daily maintenance activities.  This position will effectively understand the work planning schedule and will issue and track work throughout the shift.  This position will coordinate activities with production leadership during their shift.  Effective execution of this position will deliver >95% employee utilization, on time completion of work assignments, and positive engagement with fellow production leadership.  A Lead Technician will be expected to provide thought leadership as well as employee management skills required to complete the requirements of the position.

This position is an entry level maintenance crew member working under close and general supervision, learns and performs a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled manual work responsible for maintenance and repair of plant equipment at an industrial feed milling plant, which includes areas of expertise in electrical, welding and instrumentation.  Primary goal is to assure safe and efficient production by responding to changing conditions in timely manner. Emphasis will be preventive maintenance and welding.

Growing and Innovative Company   This is a mid-level position responsible for both Maintenance Mechanic and Lead functions.  As a Mechanic the incumbent will provide general repair and maintenance of plant equipment at a pet food production plant.  As a Supervisor the incumbent will perform supervisory roll directing work functions, scheduling, prioritizing work orders, populating backlog, and keeping a daily log of events; this does include disciplinary action. Strict compliance with the facility’s Food Safety and Quality Management System Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions is required.
