Direct/Assist customers & drivers with pickups or deliveries
Process and document paperwork for pickups & deliveries
Assist shipping/receiving personnel when needed
Provide back-up support for other roles, as necessary.
Other duties as assigned by the manager/supervisor.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer knowledge and/or experience including, but not limited to, retail Logistics/Shipping software systems.
Skills
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point, and Access).
Must be self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently and as a team.
Ability to read, write, and speak English sufficient to read and understand materials (e.g. Work Instructions, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), and other OSHA requirements).
Solid yard management skills for dropped-trailer program
Must be literate and able to calculate totals, percentages, and operate computerized equipment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent computer skills and familiarity with MS Office are important to this position.
Strong people skills able to motivate staff to achieve goals.
Ability to work independently and as a team member in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirments
Continuously required to talk, hear, and stand to perform the essential functions of the position.
Continuously perform repetitive motion and fine manipulation tasks for long intervals of time.
Continuously use manual dexterity and coordination while operating standard office equipment (e.g. computer, keyboard, mouse, calculator, and other similar machines).
Regularly moves items weighing up to 10 pounds, and occasionally up to 75 pounds.
Environment
Regularly exposed to an indoor/climate controlled office and occasionally to outdoor/uncontrolled weather conditions.
Occasionally exposed to work near moving/vibrating mechanical parts/machinery.
Occasionally exposed to dust.
Occasionally exposed to moderate to severe noise levels.
Occasionally exposed to chemicals used in the manufacturing process.
