Business Value Lead

Western Milling has embarked on a multi-year transformation journey covering all aspects of our business. We are seeking a supply chain or consulting professional skilled in data analysis, cost accounting and process improvement. This critical, high visibility position will allow the candidate to learn all aspects of our high growth $2B subsidiary of Viserion International.

Preference given to local candidates. Candidates living in CA considered; 50% travel will be required.

The salary range for this position is $140,000 to $155,000 with additional earning potential.  The Company offers insurance coverage that includes medical, dental, vision as well as 401(k) with employer match.

• Gather, assess, and synthesize disparate data sources to provide insight on operational objectives to key stakeholders.
• Define standard and actual costs across the business to refine product management impacting margins, customer, market, and investment decisions.
• Build resource planning and capacity models to optimize staffing, materials placement, equipment usage, and footprint investment decisions.
• Provide support to business managers to implement changes and ensure they generate measurable financial results.
• Build relationships with business leaders to train, coach, and influence improvements in overall business practice.

• Proven leadership and subject matter expertise in the areas of cost accounting transformation.
• Experience with large, complex finance and operational transformation initiatives in agriculture, food, or manufacturing.
• Experience designing and implementing profitability strategies.
• Bachelor’s degree.

• Communication: ability to connect with people and convey ideas at all levels of the organization.
• Gathering Insights: Analytical and solutioning skills with high attention to detail.
• Drive: self-guided interest in seeking opportunities, identifying solutions and guiding business leaders towards making meaningful changes
• Cost Accounting: familiarity with technical accounting requirements including activity based costing and standardized costing.
• Data Modeling: Ability to model in platforms like Excel, Access, Tableau, Power BI, SharePoint.
