This position is involved in all aspects of data warehouse development and in the design and development of business solutions.
Responsibilities
Has overall responsibility for the development of data warehouse strategy, architecture and standards that meet business needs
Directs the team responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of data warehouse systems and projects
Ensure that data warehouse systems fully support organization-wide data initiatives
Provide leadership and technical expertise to enable effective Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse (BI/DW) strategies and goals in a global implementation of BI Applications
Develop strategies and approaches to support BI/DW Team with the goal of analyzing large data sources to develop predictive models, drillable dashboards, and conduct ad-hoc analyses
Studies and understands the company’s business processes and applications, including their effect on data and reporting, and applies the knowledge gained in designing data warehouses and reports
Use strong technical background and understanding of data architecture and how it can be leveraged, combined with communication skills to present value of data to different business leaders
Partner with business teams and advocate for data-driven decision and frameworks via empowerment of data usage across the business
Balance stakeholders needs, understanding the expectations and needs of each business/department, taking a proactive approach executing data roadmap and priorities
Assist in the design of ETL architecture and approach
Identify opportunities for eliminating or streamlining manual reporting processes
Proactively provide recommendations on new data sources and metrics for future analysis
Qualifications
5-10 years of relevant work experience in Analytical roles or Business Intelligence roles
Experience with data visualization, automation, warehousing, and extraction techniques
Comfort with large complex internal/external data sets
Project management skills to move projects/tasks forward
Skills
Strong verbal, visual, and written communication skills with the ability to explain approach to all levels in the organization including key partners and leaders.
