Ag Inputs Sales Representative

This position will be based in either Kern County or Merced County and will be responsible for business development and sales for the Company’s fertilizer business, to expand on the Company’s current agribusiness products and services.  

• Business Development & Sales
  • Develop dealer and independent PCA/CCA network in territory according to market development strategy.
  • Motivate dealers and independent PCA/CCAs to promote Western Milling portfolio of products and services.
  • Educate growers, dealers and distributors on our capabilities and new products.
  • Conduct direct farm visits in order to provide agronomic support for independent PCA/CCAs and promote/sell Western Milling portfolio of products and services.
  • Conduct grower meetings to promote the user of Western Milling products and services.
  • Execute on annual volume and margin sales plans through effective marketing.
  • Provide insights on pricing through intimate market knowledge and landscape.
• Administration
  • Locate and develop test plot locations as it relates to Western Milling product/service research and development program.
  • Manage and collect accounts receivable as required to keep receivables current.
  • Perform any other duties as may be required from time to time.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture or related field preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years of direct agronomy sales experience.
• Direct experience of liquid fertilizer industry operations and logistics.
• California Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) license preferred.
• California Pest Control Advisor (PCA) license preferred.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Sufficient physical requirements to carry out the essential responsibilities.

• This position travels extensively and may encounter various environmental factors associated with the climate/location they are in.
