This position is responsible for leading operations at the Company's fertilizer plant in Hanford, CA. In addition to ensuring that the facility is operating efficiently, the Operations Manager will interface with customers.
Unload liquid ag products from commercial tanker delivery trucks, and ensure proper storage and handling of products.
Load company delivery trucks with customer products.
Respond to customer questions on equipment.
Maintenance of liquids facility to include any repairs needed on pumps and on other operational equipment as well as troubleshooting.
Maintenance of warehouse facility, both inside and out, to help ensure facility is operating in a clean manner.
Maintain all licenses to comply with regulatory agencies.
Willingness to operate material handling equipment including forklift, order picker, pallet jack, and other equipment as required.
Assist with recordkeeping related to warehouse/inventory responsibilities.
Assist with dispatching duties when necessary.
Miscellaneous duties such as assisting with special projects, attending training sessions, providing back-up when needed, etc.
A high school diploma or GED is required.
Minimum two (2) years' related experience and/or training.
Forklift experience is required.
Class A or B driver’s license with Hazmat endorsement, or the ability to obtain.
Knowledge of the local geography is preferred to assist in locating farms and fields.
Strong customer service orientation required with the ability to interact positively with customers - excellent interpersonal skills between both customers and fellow employees
Ability to use GPS calibration tools
Knowledge of agricultural production and practices (beneficial)
Knowledge of fabrication and fertilizer calibration (preferred)
Ability to repetitively bend and lift boxes and bags up to 80 lbs.
Ability to lift 50lbs multiple times throughout the day.
Ability to travel by vehicle or commercial transportation to other branches, meeting locations, and customer locations / farms
