This is a mid-level position responsible for organizing loads for production and dispatch, working closely with production supervisors to make sure the loads are on appropriate mixers to maximize efficiency.


  • Schedule and coordinate flow of work within Barn to expedite production.
  • Review master production schedule (Pennent Mill Manager) and orders, Establish priorities for specific orders.
  • Revise schedule as needed according to input from Supervisors and Dispatchers, established Priorities, and mixer availability.
  • Prepare next day job-to- mixer assignments according to shipping schedule.
  • When needed use (Pennent Mill Manager) to complete jobs for Dispatch and Weighmasters, (i.e. pelleted or jobs not automatically turned green when completed.)
  • Transfer jobs between mixers when needed to expedite production and make shipping times.
  • Reschedule or remove from manufacturing any job at the request of Dispatch.
  • Provide information on specific jobs when information is requested by Dispatch or Supervisors (i.e. location in production schedule).
  • Improve communication throughout department and provide access to job information quickly and easily.
  • Print and distribute Hand add paperwork to employees.
  • Track and review deviations in formula with Mixer operators.
  • Maintain office Printers, paper and ink.
  • Answer phones and any other duties as assigned by Supervisor.


  • A high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three to five (3-5) years related experience in a process manufacturing environment; increasing levels of responsibility preferred.


  • Basic math skills with the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers.
  • Must be self-motivated, proactive, and able to work both independently and as a team.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak the English language to understand and comprehend materials (e.g. Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), OSHA requirements, warning signs).

Physical Requirments

  • Continuously stand and walk for extended periods of time.


  • Occasionally exposed to work near moving parts/equipment.
  • Occasionally exposed to major amounts of dust.
  • Occasionally exposed to a moderate to severe noise levels.
  • Occasionally exposed to outdoor/uncontrolled weather conditions.
  • Occasionally exposed to chemicals used in the manufacturing process.
