Overview

This is an entry-level position responsible for organizing and coordinating Quality Assurance department operations and providing administrative support to QA and other departments as requested.

Responsibilities

  • Collate all daily production paperwork/logs; review that all paperwork submitted is complete, correct and signed.
  • Maintain organized, accurate and current records in filing cabinet.
  • Update and maintain all controlled documents.
  • Assist with both internal and external audits by verifying documentation is current and accurate.
  • Attend meetings and record minutes, as needed.
  • Update and maintain customer specification databases.
  • Transferring data from paper formats into computer files or database systems.
  • Participate in a high-quality team environment through effective teamwork and self-management with a positive attitude.
  • Complete and comply with the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS), HACCP procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Compliance.
  • Escalate any non-conforming product/equipment/material to the appropriate manager/supervisor immediately.
  • Follow Company’s quality assurance procedures and protocols at all times while on duty (eg. Labeling of containers, Inventory Control, PM programs).
  • Promote a positive proactive environment where input from team members is valued and encouraged.
  • Provide back-up support for other roles as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma is required and a minimum of 1+ years related work experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment and understanding of general food processing is preferred.

Skills

  • Computer software skills to include Word, Excel, and Outlook are required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, analytical ability, leadership strengths, and ability to work effectively with a team are required.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Must be self-motivated, proactive, and able to work both independently and as a team.
  • Excellent time management skills; comfortable working with deadlines and under pressure.
  • Position requires demonstrated professionalism with a dedicated work ethic and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
