This position is responsible for processing of credit applications, credit references, setting up new accounts, credit holds, cash/check application, and resolving disputes for customers.
Credit Applications – process and obtain credit references, verification of corporate status and review UCC filings to allow the Credit Manger to open an account, establish terms of sale and set the appropriate credit limit within three working days of receipt of a credit application.
Special Projects as assigned by Credit Manager.
Credit Holds – monitor and communicate with the dispatch when loads are ok to release in accordance with release conditions for each account.
Enter information onto the tracking spreadsheets.
Monitor tracking spreadsheets.
Cash / Check Application Back-up for WM and Sack:
Post deposits to A/R.
Determine and apply payments as customer intended.
Resolve short/over pays.
Resolve all payments / credits in unapplied.
Hold postdated checks and deposit on correct date. Make sure payments are applied correctly.
Research skipped invoices, short pays and customer inquiries.
Resolve customer questions and disputes.
Follow-up to make sure credits are issued and payments are made.
Monitor assigned accounts for payment within terms allowed.
Update/change delivery instructions printed on weigh certificate.
Prepare account for placement with attorney or collections agency.
Update collections/legal tracking spreadsheets.
Update account information to indicate legal account.
