  • Overview

    This is an entry-level position responsible for receiving, shipping, packaging, maintenance, and other duties around our grain, feed, and seed facilities.  As well this position will assure a safe and efficient production environment with the highest product integrity.  This position is also responsible for the cleanliness and housekeeping of the general plant areas inside and out.

    Responsibilities

    • Operate various pieces of equipment (e.g.forklifts, skid steer, bagging machines).
    • Functionally cross-trained in other support roles.
    • Organize product and inventory with corresponding transportation, bin, or storage location
    • Clear documentation of weights, quantities, and other records to maintain details and traceability
    • Visual quality inspection of finished product being shipped, and elevate to appropriate manager/supervisor when results are inconsistent.
    • Perform general clean-up inside/outside load out, unload, and finished product area.
    • Perform repetitive tasks (e.g. grasping objects, fine manipulation, push/pull, assemble objects, etc) with both hands.
    • Provide back-up support for other roles as necessary.
    • Available for overtime work on a scheduled or call-in basis, as necessary.
    • Other duties as assigned by the manager/supervisor.

    Qualifications

    • A high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Forklift experience preferred.
    • Basic operating knowledge of augers, belt-driven machinery, elevators, and other equipment used in the production process.
