    This is an experienced position that requires leading and designing Lean Manufacturing goals and strategies for improving the operations and processes within the organization.

    Responsibilities

    • Leadership and direction to the operational teams on site.
    • Assist the Production Shift Manager(s) in developing measurements and gap analysis to validate the Plant Improvement Plan.
    • Perform shop floor diagnosis and define recommendations.
    • Excellent planning and execution of the production schedule to achieve or exceed business unit objectives.
    • Monitor production costs to ensure that targets are achieved on time within budget and within Quality standards.
    • Ensure that production is working to required standards in a zero defects culture, while continuously improving the process.
    • Developing and maintaining best practices and production efficiencies within the business unit while supporting the wider Business Systems using lean techniques
    • Ensure the Lean principles are applied from design stage to layout.
    • Set annual goals and objectives for all direct reports and measure performance regularly to ensure team alignment, development and success.
    • Be an active change agent within sites by cultivating a Lean manufacturing mindset.
    • Support production team in Lean deployment plans and definition for implementation.
    • Collaborate with Engineering, Sales, R&D and Purchasing managers to build a strong and highly functional site team.
    • Contribute to budget construction by validating the analysis the total cost breakdown based on productivity plan.
    • Validate and review systematically the Plant Productivity plans with Production Managers.
    • Contribute and coach on the correct tool selection and effective implementations, 5 Hoshin Baskics, DLE/DLP levers assessment, KPI’s.
    • Maintain all reporting that are statutory requirements and needed to keep the business running per state, county, national regulations and company policies.
    • Ensure compliance to all general site Rules, Regulations, and Policies.
    • TPS knowledge.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, packaging engineering, or other closely related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Five (5) years in manufacturing, including budget knowledge and costs.
    • Five (5) years managing direct reports in a manufacturing environment.
    • Five (5) years working within a Lean Operating System
