  • Overview

    This is a mid-level position responsible for organizing and coordinating the Quality Assurance department, office operations, and for providing administrative support to QA and other departments. Strict compliance with the facility Food Safety and Quality Management System Policies, Procedures, and Work instructions is required.


    • Collate all daily production paperwork/logs; review that all paperwork submitted is complete, correct and signed.
    • Maintain organized, accurate, and current records in filing
    • Manage, monitor, update, track, and maintain all quality system documents through document control.
    • Assist with both internal and external audits by verifying documentation is current and
    • Routine production floor walks for auditing processes.
    • Attend HACCP and Food Safety meetings and record minutes as
    • Understand and practice Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
    • Understand and practice good Quality Assurance
    • Understand and apply Root Cause Analysis and Critical Path
    • Encourage a food-safe sanitary environment at all
    • Escalate any non-conforming product/equipment/material to the appropriate manager/supervisor
    • Follow the Company’s quality assurance procedures and protocols at all times while on duty.
    • Promote a positive proactive environment where input from team members is valued and
    • Assist with training, update files/documents, handle special projects, and perform data entry as well as summary reports.
    • Report any observed process or document deviations that could impact food safety to manager/supervisor.
    • Available off-hours on a scheduled or call-in basis, as necessary for product releases.
    • Provide backup support for other roles as
    • Other duties as assigned by the manager/supervisor.


    • A high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and
    • Three (3) years’ related experience; experience in a production environment and understanding of general food processing
    • Prior auditing, compliance, or documents control experience a plus.
