This is an entry-level position responsible for maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity within the facility.  Strict compliance with the facility Food Safety and Quality Management System Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions is required.


  • Run inventory reports on daily, weekly, or monthly basis.
  • Develop accurate, consistent, and enhancements to the inventory reporting structure.
  • Perform inventory adjustments.
  • Perform visual validation of received merchandise to description and package details from original purchase order
  • Manage the product returns process (e.g. item documentation, tracking, adjusting, destroying)
  • Input product description information in current inventory systems.
  • Perform in a manner consistent with company Vision, Mission Statement, and Operating Principles.
  • Ability to communicate and give clear direction to others through phone, email, and in person.
  • Ensure all outgoing shipments are picked accurately using a pre-printed customer order pick ticket.
  • Stage orders two to three (2-3) days out for loading onto pallets for shipment.
  • Build loads for transport; each type of loading requires strict attention to order accuracy.
  • Stack product required onto pallet according to the plant stacking requirements.
  • Ensure order is loaded in a manner that adheres to customer profile.
  • Complete shipping forms as required and insure distribution of copies follows established packing procedures
  • Operate forklift to load/unload supplies from incoming trailers, pallets, or skids and transfer to correct storage areas; use forklift to deliver material to packaging line.
  • Perform cycle counts on finished product by date.
  • Count packaging materials as requested by manager/supervisor.
  • Operates shrink wrap equipment.
  • Organize, maintain, and store packaging materials as directed by manager/supervisor.
  • Advise supervisor of any unsafe conditions to assist in providing a safe environment for other workers who walk through the warehouse
  • Follow and maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) standards at all times.
  • Supply production line with empty containers removes full product and moves to staging area
  • Supplies packaging material to line as needed, loads trucks according to loading instructions and maintains pallet supplies.
  • May fill out “Hold” tags in compliance with Quality Assurance Positive Release Program requirements.
  • Completes all required documentation with accuracy.
  • Advises appropriate leads of any unsafe conditions in both plant and warehouse areas
  • Able to troubleshoot some equipment issues and advise maintenance of needed repairs or preventive care.
  • Responsible for continuous improvement ideas and implementation in assigned area
  • Must maintain warehouse in an organized and clean manner to ensure safety and good manufacturing processes.
  • Interact with warehouse team members, quality control, and production to maximize output and efficiency.
  • Report any food safety issues observed to manager/supervisor.
  • Report any plant security breaches, attempts at product tampering or contamination, or other suspicious behavior observed to manager/supervisor.
  • Complete and comply with the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS), Daily Routine List (DRL), HACCP procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Compliance.
  • Maintain a food-safe sanitary environment at all times.
  • Complete records/quality checks with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Escalate any non-conforming product/equipment/material to the appropriate manager/supervisor immediately.
  • Follow Company’s quality assurance procedures and protocols at all times while on duty (eg. Labeling of containers, Inventory Control, PM programs).
  • Promote a positive proactive environment where input from team members is valued and encouraged.
  • Provide back-up support for other roles as necessary.
  • Available for overtime work on a scheduled or call-in basis as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned by the manager/supervisor.


  • A high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two (2) years’ working in a warehouse environment.
  • Forklift certification preferred.
