This is a mid-level position responsible for maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity within the facility, and logistics coordination of all incoming and outgoing loads of raw ingredients as well as finished goods. This position also functions as a liaison between Purchasing, Manufacturing, Shipping and Receiving, and Management departments.


  • Prepare purchase orders, review requisitions for goods and services, work with outside vendors to develop relationships, and resolve quality/delivery issues
  • Confer with Production, Management, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedule, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
  • Work with vendors to confirm delivery dates and special products.
    • Ensure that all materials are purchased and delivered to meet timely production schedules.
  • Manage inventory reports on daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Develop accurate and consistent enhancements to the inventory reporting structure.
  • Manage inventory adjustments.
  • Manage the product returns process (e.g. item documentation, tracking, adjusting, and disposing)
  • Manage space utilization, while monitoring/considering inventory levels and product movement.
  • Maintain a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity within the facility.
  • Manage visual validation of received merchandise to description and package details from original purchase order.
  • Conduct random audits to ensure outgoing shipments are picked accurately using a pre-printed FIFO Pick Ticket.
  • Supervise/perform cycle counts; ensure they occur at the established frequency.
  • Count packaging materials as requested by manager/supervisor.
  • Responsible for continuous improvement ideas and implementation in assigned area.
  • Complete records/quality checks with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Complete and comply with the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS), Daily Routine List (DRL), HACCP procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Compliance.
  • Maintain a food-safe sanitary environment at all times.
  • Follow Company’s quality assurance procedures and protocols at all times while on duty (eg. Labeling of containers, Inventory Control, PM programs).
  • Promote a positive proactive environment where input from team members is valued and encouraged.
  • Other duties as assigned by the manager/supervisor.


  • A high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Three to five (3-5) years of logistics and/or inventory management experience, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
  • Two (2) or four (4) year college degree in accounting or a technical field is preferred.
