This position provides administrative and customer support to the Merchandiser/Trader and the Controller; is responsible for the accurate and timely execution of the accounting process from contract entry to settlement.
Manage ticket applications by checking shipments details for accuracy, applying to correct contracts, and setting up associated payable and receivables.
Verify contracts and contractual details for accuracy.
Process intercompany transactions as needed.
Enter orders and generate release numbers.
Provide logistics support when necessary.
Maintain brokerage information and commissions.
Review vendor invoices.
Review and assist in the collection of accounts receivable as needed.
Manage and reconcile offsite inventories.
Provide support to the Merchandiser/Trader when necessary.
Oversee certifications with various Vendors/Agencies.
Provide customer service in resolving accounting inquiries.
Troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Utilize computer programs to maintain purchases, sales, and daily position reports.
2-year degree or equivalent Merchandising Assistant experience.
General knowledge of accounting process and ability to reconcile information.
Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience.
