Quality Assurance


This is a mid-level position responsible for organizing and coordinating the Quality Assurance department, office operations, and for providing administrative support to QA and other departments. Strict compliance with the facility Food Safety and Quality Management System Policies, Procedures, and Work instructions is required.


  • Collate all daily production paperwork/logs; ensure that all paperwork has been turned in and signed. 
  • Maintain organized, accurate, and current records in filing cabinet. 
  • Manage, monitor, update, track, and maintain all controlled documents. 
  • Assist with both internal and external audits by verifying documentation is current and accurate. 
  • Attend meetings and record minutes as requested.
  • Understand and practice Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Understand and practice good Quality Assurance techniques. 
  • Understand Root Cause Analysis and Critical Path Methodology. 
  • Complete and comply with the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS), Daily Routine List (DRL), HACCP procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Compliance. 
  • Maintain a food-safe sanitary environment at all times. 
  • Complete records/quality checks with accuracy and attention to detail. 
  • Escalate any non-conforming product/equipment/material to the appropriate manager/supervisor immediately. 
  • Follow Company’s quality assurance procedures and protocols at all times while on duty (eg. Labeling of containers, Inventory Control, PM programs).
  • Promote a positive proactive environment where input from team members is valued and encouraged. 
  • Assist with training, update files/documents, handle special projects, order supplies, and perform data entry, as requested. 
  • Report any security breaches, attempts at product tampering or contamination, or other suspicious behavior observed to manager/supervisor.
  • Available for overtime work on a scheduled or call-in basis, as necessary. 
  • Provide back-up support for other roles as necessary. 
  • Other duties as assigned by the manager/supervisor.


  • A high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Three (3) years’ related experience; experience in a production environment and understanding of general food processing preferred.
